What have you given this Christmas

Chirstmas! A time for giving! In today's materialistic and largely selfish world we miss out on the true essence of what Christmas is. If we were to look back on 2014 and think what have we given, not material things mind you, not that expensive perfume we gave that colleague after thinking 10 times and bargaining a hundred, or the dinner treat for that promotion. Those are easy! What have we really given?

Did we see that beggar on the road and notice that we didn't have coins so ignored him

There was a friend who needed a shoulder, but we were too burdened by our own troubles that we turned a deaf ear to them

The colleague in the office who asked to assist, but we were too busy or just didn't want to

Someone who asked us to forward a CV, but we didn't because we didn't want to recommend

Have you been there for your friend during their rough times, when life was tough on you

Real giving is not when we give something that can be replenished or taken back. Time, love, effort... How much of this have we given? We often are selfish when it comes to ourselves we don't want to give a lot of ourselves, it's easier to give money or whatever money can translate to. Mind you there are those who would rather not part with that also. The true essence of giving is when we give our time, our love and our effort when we have none to give or very little to spare. Mind you this does not mean that we do not give when we have plenty of it, just that there is much more meaning to the giving of it is given when it is needed rather than when it is convenient for us. On that very thoughtful note... Wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas, may this one be one that is abundantly filled with lots of love, joy, laughter and peace.

Ps. I am open to receiving gifts even if they are thought of 10 times and bargained for a hundred. Since you have done that they better be good. Bring em on!!!!! Espescially ones like this one

Happy Birthday Shreya

You thought I forgot didn't u??? Well I didn't! How can a birthday go without an aunt exercising her right to publicly embarrass her niece, especially one that so easily gets embarrassed. Well I have decided that I am not going to, I will be sweetness and love personified 😬.

Happy birthday Shreya baby, I know I Youram late and I am really sorry for that. I had serious lack of time.

15! Sigh! That is a biggie... I wish I could give you all that you wish for...

1. A chance to meet the One direction group

2. Tickets to the 1D concert

3. Every 1D paraphernalia that was ever produced too

Well I can I can gladly say that the chance to meet them I cannot arrange and those I can give I will reserve comment on 😅, which essentially means I will not....

But I do have something no not a thing exactly ... But a wish, a prayer , a hope for you

I wish, pray and hope that ...

Life for you is filled with happiness

Your fears are overpowered by your strengths

Your smile brightens the day of each person it is bestowed on

That God loves within us and not outside

Your heart guides you to the path your life has to go
